CASE Robotic Curriculum Honors Program

The CASE Robotic Curriculum Honors Program is available through Legend College Preparatory School to international students residing outside of the USA. The program is designed to provide an enriched STEAM learning opportunity for students that supports international secondary school curriculum*.

The CASE Robotic Curriculum Honors Program has been approved by the University of California (UC) as a recognized U.S. based college preparatory course, through Legend College Preparatory. All courses here are accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC), demonstrating a high academic level of curriculum design, teaching methodology, and is the world’s first honors robotic curriculum of its kind.

CASE Robotic Curriculum Honors Course 1

[CASE CSA1H: STEAM Ability Topic 1 & 6]

This is a semester long course offered by Legend College Preparatory in exclusive partnership with Actura. The CASE Robotic Curriculum is designed for students in grades 6 to 12, who are about to enter universities and seek academically-challenging courses. These courses place extra emphasis on physics and mathematics domain knowledge in the application of robotics. As an honors course, students who pass course assessments obtain a weighted grade of up to 5.0 for the purposes of their Grade Point Average.

CASE Robotic Curriculum Honors Course 1 is the first basic topic of robotic learning, covering knowledge of axles, mechanics, gears, rods, connecting rods, and various sensors. Robotic logic programming is also introduced. The initial course is also a starting point for electromechanics, enhancing the student’s creative process as a STEAM learning process. The evaluation method includes 3 tests + 6 online assignments + teacher classroom evaluations.

Course content:

  • Introduction to Robotics
  • Exploring the FlipRobot
  • Exploring the Robotic Sensors
  • Exploring the Ultrasonic Sensor
  • Vision Scope
