Readiness Assessment
New students enrolling in Math or Physics courses must attend a preliminary assessment test. Assessment test dates will be scheduled the week prior to the beginning of the session. Results of the assessment are provided to parents and students.

Assessments will be online and Zoom proctored.

Returning Legend students may be allowed to use the completed prerequisite course final as an assessment equivalent. Returning students may need teacher or department chair recommendations.

Canvas Platform Access

If the student has a Legend Canvas account already, they can log in with their usual credentials. For new students to create a Canvas account, please visit https://legendcp.instructure.com/login/canvas.  Please use the student email address as the username and create your password. Follow these steps to access class conferences. These details will also be listed in your welcome email.

Textbook / e-book Access

Upon completion of your registration, a separate email will be sent to the student with instructions on accessing e-codes or student e-book accounts. Those e-codes or accounts are only valid in connection with Legend and cannot be transferred. The e-book cost is in addition to the tuiton. Once the e-code or account is activated the textbook can be accessed by the student for up to a year. If the class requires a physical (paper) textbook, the student is responsible for purchasing the text and make sure it’s the correct edition.

Fostering a Positive Learning Environment
Legend’s community members are expected to treat one another with respect and in a manner conducive to a positive and intentional learning environment.

Cell phones must be turned off unless explicitly permitted by the instructor. No cell phones will be allowed during tests or quizzes.

Students who fail to fulfill the minimum requirements expected by their teachers may require a review from the corresponding department chair and/or academic dean. A meeting with parents will be scheduled to discuss a solution. Students who fail repeatedly to meet conduct and/or academic standards may be placed on academic probation or suspension. Students caught cheating or participating in acts of academic dishonesty may face academic suspension and receive an automatic F for the class. If the academic suspension is necessary, the student will be dismissed from the class and school without a refund or transcripts.

Requesting Transcripts

Upon completion of a UC a-g approved course, students may request official and unofficial transcripts through the Legend website. Only a-g, Honors and AP classes will be listed on the transcript (high school level classes). Please allow at least 5 business days after the completion of class before ordering transcripts to allow time to get grades properly recorded. Transcripts are cumulative and will list all the students’ classes taken for credit.

The most widely accepted and time-efficient way to send official transcripts is electronically directly to the high school or college that is requesting them. Hard copies can be mailed to your home for your personal records.

Complete transcript requests must be submitted online through our website, www.legendcp.com. Under the “transcripts” tab, click on “Online Transcript Request”. This is the direct link: www.legendcp.com/transcriptrequest

Complete the request form and payment information on the second page. Once the request is received, the transcript department will email an unofficial copy to the parent email provided. FOR OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPTS, please verify that all the information on the emailed copy is correct or provide corrected information within 24 hours. Official copies will be processed 5-7 business days from the day of accuracy approval. Rush requests will require additional fees.

Legend College Preparatory reserves the right to withhold processing of official transcripts for non-payment of tuition, school fees, or missing student documentation (outside transcripts).

If you have any questions regarding transcript processing, please email transcript@legendcp.com.
