Geometry Honors
Accelerated, proof-driven geometry with a strong emphasis on logical reasoning and formal proof techniques (direct, indirect, induction, contradiction, and construction). Core studies include congruence and similarity, parallel/perpendicular lines and angle relationships, polygon and circle properties, coordinate and transformational geometry, area/surface area/volume, and an introduction to right-triangle trigonometry. Students learn not only how to execute proofs, but also how to choose appropriate proof methods for different problem types.
