Early College High School for Middle School Students

Overview

The Early College High School Program at Legend College Preparatory (LCP) offers a unique opportunity for middle school students. This federal initiative allows students to earn college prep credits while still in middle school. By enrolling in this program, students can start their academic journey with either a UC-approved Geometry or Algebra II class.

Benefits of the Program

Participating in the Early College High School Program has numerous advantages. First, students gain a strong head start in math, which is critical for future academic success. Research indicates that students who take advanced math courses early often perform better in high school and college. According to the National Math and Science Initiative, students who complete advanced math classes in middle school are 30% more likely to enroll in college.

Furthermore, students earn valuable credits that prepare them for higher education. By completing UC-approved courses, they enhance their college applications and demonstrate academic ambition. This early exposure to college-level coursework helps students build confidence and essential skills.
