Stephanie is a seventh grade student, and has attended Legend College Preparatory since third grade. Legend College Preparatory has helped Stephanie stay ahead in her studies, which means she has always been one step ahead from her peers. She says, “I have been a year ahead in school since fourth grade, and it helps me not be as stressed.” Stephanie describes Legend College Preparatory as a study center for students who want to stay ahead. Legend College Preparatory has allowed Stephanie to meet other students from different schools and form new friendships.
A typical day at school starts at 8:15 am. Stephanie goes through the routine of her assigned school schedule, but she does her best work at LCP. Classes at her public school ends at 2:45 pm, but the day is not over for Stephanie. When Stephanie arrives at LCP, she begins her homework before classes start. Stephanie is taking three courses, all of which are advanced for her grade level. Persuasion and Presentation, Algebra 2/Trigonometry, and Intro to Java.
Exploring new subjects and taking different classes are some things that Stephanie is able to do at LCP, like Intro to Java. Stephanie says, “It’s good to know Java for programming. It’s something that either you like to do or you don’t.” Her favorite subject in school is life science because it is cool to learn about animals, evolution, and survival traits. Her current goal is to do well in school. She states, “LCP helps me get a glimpse of what I have to do to pursue the career path of my choice.”
Even with her very busy schedule, Stephanie still manages to save time for other important aspects of her life, with the help of LCP. Saturdays are her family days, where her family gets to spend time with each other and don’t have to worry about classes or extracurricular activities.
Stephanie’s hopes for her high school years include, getting into a good college and good grades, as well as finding a subject that I like to pursue as a career. Stephanie wants to pursue either the pediatrician or software engineer career path when she is in college.
