Josh holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Santa Cruz and an MBA in Marketing from Santa Clara University. He is very passionate about teaching and has been an instructor at Legend for 13 years. Josh chose to teach classes at Legend because the small class sizes allows him to connect with students in ways that may not be possible at a larger school. The personal aspect of it is what makes the education experience at Legend special. 

His goal as a teacher is to blow his students’ minds with different insights, such as upending their assumptions for how the world works, debunking incorrect common sense, and giving them practical uses for the things they pick up in the classroom. The way that Josh likes to run his courses is through lecture style, but with a lot of insight and class activities that help to immediately apply and retain knowledge being taught in class. One of the ways that Josh motivates his class is by letting his students know why the information they are learning is important and will take the time to demonstrate that through his courses. In his spare time, you can find Josh reading, grilling, and playing the piano or video games.
